Terms and Conditions

(1) General Terms

This document sets out the general terms and conditions governing the use of the platform, as well as the rights and obligations of the parties to the agreement in relation to the services provided.
It is necessary to read and accept these terms before registering on the platform and benefiting from its services.
The student agrees and declares that they will comply with the rules set forth in this agreement.
When filling out the registration form, the student must confirm that they have agreed to these terms and conditions, and such confirmation shall constitute a commitment to abide by all the provisions contained therein.

(2) Definition of Terms

Yusr Platform – A provider of remote Quran reading and Arabic reading instruction services.
Website – The website of Yusr Platform: www.ysrplatform.com
Service – Educational sessions that enable direct communication between the teacher and the student through an online video call.
Student – The person benefiting from the services provided by Yusr Platform.
Child – A person under the age of 18 benefiting from the platform’s services with the consent of their legal guardian.
Teacher – The person who provides educational sessions to the student through Yusr Platform.
Registration – The process of joining the platform, including filling out the form, attending the introductory session, and paying the monthly subscription fee.
Content – The data and information on the website, including text, images, and videos.

(3) Registration and Acceptance

A student may register on the platform only once using one specific email address and phone number.
The student acknowledges that they have a valid and active email address and phone number. If either changes, they are required to contact Yusr Platform’s administrative team immediately to report this change.
The email address and phone number are linked to the student’s account and serve as the means of identifying the student. This information will be used in all correspondence related to the provision of services.
The registration process on the platform consists of three main steps:

First: Filling out the registration form

The student fills out the registration form available on the website. For this purpose, the following information must be provided: personal information including name, age, gender, nationality, current country of residence, email address, and phone number; educational information including school stage and academic achievement level; and information regarding reading level. The student must then agree to the terms and conditions, privacy policy, and refund policy.
The person filling out the registration form must be over 18 years old.
In the case of a child, the form shall be filled out by the legal guardian, based on the child’s consent.

Second: Booking the introductory session

After completing and submitting the registration form, the student books an appointment for the introductory session. The purpose of this session is to introduce the platform, assess the student, and evaluate their pronunciation and reading abilities in order to determine their level and prepare a suitable study plan. The student’s questions and inquiries are also answered during this session.

Third: Paying the subscription fee

After booking and attending the introductory session, the monthly subscription fee is paid, and the student then begins attending the educational sessions.

(4) Commencement of the Agreement

The agreement shall come into effect and the student shall begin benefiting from the services provided by Yusr Platform after completing all of the registration steps المذكورة above.

(5) The Student

Yusr Platform accepts students aged 5 years and above, including adults, who wish to learn proper Quran reading and correct Arabic reading, whether they are native Arabic speakers or non-native speakers.
Yusr Platform apologizes for being unable to provide its services to children who:

are under 5 years old;
have severe hyperactivity that prevents them from focusing with the teacher during the educational session;
have an intellectual disability that prevents them from learning to read and write.

(6) Learning Stages

The learning stages at Yusr Platform are divided into 4 stages.
The duration of the stages is as follows:

Spelling Stage: (Noorani Qaida or Al-Juz’ Al-Rashidi)
- Age 5–6 / Duration: 6–9 months
- Age 7–9 / Duration: 4–6 months
- Age 10–12 / Duration: 3–4 months
- Age 13+ / Duration: 2–3 months
Reading Application Stage: (Juz’ Amma)
- Age 5–6 / Duration: 4–6 months
- Age 7+ / Duration: 2–4 months
Tajweed Recitation Stage: (Juz’ 28–29) / Duration: 2–4 months
Fast Recitation and Mastery Stage: (From the beginning of the Mushaf to Juz’ 27, through which the student completes reading the entire Quran) / Duration: 10–14 months

The durations of the stages are approximate and are intended to provide a preliminary general picture of the time required for the student to complete one educational stage or all stages.
In general, a child aged 5 to 6 needs between two and a half to three years to complete all stages, while a child aged 7 to 12 needs between two to two and a half years. As for adults aged 13 and above, it is expected that all stages can be completed within one and a half to two years.
The duration can be determined more accurately during the first sessions, when the teacher becomes aware of the student’s abilities and accordingly sets an educational plan suitable for them.
A number of factors related to the student’s specific condition must be taken into account when determining the duration of a stage, including pronunciation difficulties, learning difficulties, absence from sessions, long interruptions, and return after interruption.
Education is an integrated process between the platform, the teacher, the student, and the parents. Therefore, parents must continuously follow up with and motivate the child, as this has a major effect on shortening the duration of the learning stage.
The student has complete freedom to continue through all stages or to stop after only the first or second stage, depending on the goal the student sets for themselves. If the goal is only to learn Arabic reading, they may stop after the first stage. However, if the goal is to learn Quran recitation with tajweed and mastery, it is preferable to complete all stages. Yusr Platform advises the student to complete at least the first and second stages, as the first may be considered the stage of theory and foundation, while the second is the practical application of what the student learned in the first stage.

(7) Educational Sessions

Educational sessions at Yusr Platform are offered daily except السبت and الأحد, 5 days a week. Each session lasts 25 minutes, at a total of 500 minutes per month. These are one-on-one sessions dedicated to a single student.
The student is required to provide a suitable environment and the technical requirements necessary for the educational session.
If the student is aged 5–6, it is preferable for their legal guardian to be present beside them to provide appropriate support during the sessions, especially in the first week.
Yusr Platform has the right to record educational sessions and use these recordings in ways that serve the platform’s work. Examples of such uses include evaluating session quality, evaluating teacher performance, and publishing some recordings on the platform’s website or on the platform’s social media accounts. (They will not be used in a manner that harms the student’s privacy or for purposes outside the scope of improving the educational process.)
The student must be ready at the scheduled session time.
If the student is late in attending the session at the specified time, the delayed time shall be deducted from the actual session time, and the student may not make it up.
The official holidays at Yusr Platform are only the two Eid holidays: Eid al-Fitr holiday for 3 days, and Eid al-Adha holiday for 4 days.
If the teacher is unable to provide one or more educational sessions, they will either be delivered by a substitute teacher at the same scheduled times or compensatory sessions will be arranged in coordination between the teacher, the student, and the administrative supervision of the platform.
In the event of the family’s annual vacation, the student must inform the platform in advance of the vacation date and its duration.

(8) Temporary Suspension

If the student stops attending sessions for up to one full study week (5 sessions), the monthly subscription remains valid without any change, and the student remains obligated to pay the subscription fee on the previously specified due date.
In order to preserve the quality of the educational process and ensure maximum benefit, repeated absence may negatively affect the quality of learning and training, and may also prolong the time needed to complete the educational stage, which increases the likelihood of the student losing motivation and feeling bored.
Given the short duration of the sessions (25 minutes online), attending them does not constitute a major time burden for the student, even during school holidays, travel, or exam periods.
In general, the teacher is not obligated to make up sessions missed by the student. However, if the teacher apologizes for being unable to attend for any reason, they are obligated to coordinate make-up sessions with the student, either by providing additional lessons during the week or by setting alternative times during holiday days.
If the student needs to be absent for more than one study week, the administration and the guardian shall communicate to discuss the reasons for the interruption and determine how to handle it as the administration deems appropriate, in order to ensure the continuity of the educational process and reduce the negative effects resulting from prolonged interruption.
The teacher allocates their time to the student registered with them according to the set schedule, and cannot accept another student at the same time. Accordingly, the platform continues to pay the teacher’s full monthly salary even if the student misses several sessions, which imposes an additional financial burden on the platform.

(9) Follow-up and Evaluation

The learning system at Yusr Platform is cumulative and sequential; the student may not skip a lesson unless the evaluation of the previous lesson is from good to excellent.
Parents can follow the student’s achievements daily through the student’s account on the applications and programs used.
At the end of each month, the student receives a general evaluation for the previous month, and at the end of each stage, they receive a general evaluation for that stage.

(10) Communication with the Teacher

Communication between the teacher and the student takes place under the platform’s supervision through the WhatsApp group created exclusively by the supervisor. Neither the student nor the teacher has the right to request personal means of communication from the other party without the platform’s knowledge.
If the student has any comments or complaints about the teacher, communication shall be made with the platform administration.

(11) Technical Requirements

To benefit from the platform’s services with the best possible quality, it is preferable to provide the following technical requirements:

A desktop or laptop computer
An external or built-in webcam with HD quality
A headset with microphone
Internet speed of no less than 8 Mbps

It is preferable to attend the educational session from a desktop or laptop computer in order to obtain the best educational experience. If this is not available, a phone or tablet may be used, bearing in mind that using a computer increases the efficiency of the educational session.
Minimum computer specifications:

Processor: i5 / 8th generation
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Operating system: Windows 10 or equivalent on Mac

The student must verify the performance of the internet connection, microphone, and camera to ensure that all are working properly before the educational sessions begin.

(12) Rights and Obligations of Yusr Platform

Yusr Platform has the following responsibilities:

Providing its services with the best possible quality
Solving problems that prevent the student from benefiting from these services
Selecting the appropriate teacher for the student according to the student’s level and abilities

Yusr Platform has the following rights:

To suspend its services temporarily due to maintenance or changes beyond its control
To send messages to the student’s email address regarding the platform, the services provided, or any new features that may become available on the platform
To cancel the subscriptions of students whose actions violate the agreed terms and conditions (including late payment, mistreatment of the teacher, and others)

(13) Privacy

If you are provided by the platform with a username, password, or any other private information, we guarantee its confidentiality, and the platform has the right to use all such information only within its own scope. You must treat this information as confidential information. Accordingly, it is prohibited to disclose it to any other person.

(14) Intellectual Property Rights

Yusr Platform owns all intellectual property rights to the content of its website and its trademark. All such rights are reserved and protected. The name, trademark, or any website content may not be used without obtaining permission.

(15) Disclaimer of Liability

Yusr Platform is not responsible for the student’s technical problems that prevent them from benefiting from the platform’s services.
Yusr Platform is not responsible for interruptions in the provision of the service due to an event that could not have been foreseen and whose consequences could not have been prevented. It undertakes to inform the student of the interruption in service and the reasons for it.

(16) Complaints and Suggestions

Yusr Platform seeks to provide its services with the best possible quality, and always seeks to develop, solve the student’s problems, listen to their suggestions, and meet their needs within the available capabilities.
The student has the right to complain about the service provided by Yusr Platform and to submit suggestions for improving and developing the working system.
Such complaint must include the student’s information, a description of the situation that caused the complaint, and suggestions for solving the problem, if possible.

(17) Termination of the Relationship

The student has the right to terminate the relationship and stop benefiting from the platform’s services at any time, without stating any reason if they wish to do so. They also have the right to request the removal of their personal information from Yusr Platform’s records.
In order to terminate the relationship, the student must fill out the termination form available on the platform’s website on the subscription policy page, and the platform’s administration will contact the student to complete the termination process.

(18) Amendment of the Terms and Conditions

We may amend the terms and conditions at any time for reasons related to changes in the adopted system, technical developments on the platform, or other reasons that Yusr Platform deems important. Therefore, please review these terms and conditions regularly. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon publication on the website. If we make material changes to these terms and conditions, the platform administration will contact the student or their guardian via WhatsApp so that they are aware of the amendment.
A student who does not accept these amendments to the terms and conditions has the right to terminate the relationship with the platform.
